Care Guide

How to Keep Your Coddle Furniture Looking Its Best

Coddle furniture is designed for real life — pets, kids, naps, spills, and movie marathons. With just a little routine care, your sofa will look good and last longer.

Fabric Care

Stain Resistance
Coddle fabrics are inherently stain resistant, so most spills can be easily removed.

Everyday Cleaning

  • Vacuum on low suction to prevent dust and dirt buildup.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub.
  • For tougher messes, use a mild water-based cleaner.

Sunlight & Fading
Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to minimize fading over time.

Pilling
Occasional pilling is a natural result of daily use. It can be removed quickly with a battery-operated fabric shaver or pilling tool.

Protectors
Only apply water-based soil-resist fabric protector treatments. Do not use harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners — they can damage fibers.

Professional Cleaning
An annual professional upholstery cleaning will keep your sofa fresh and extend its life.

Frame & Wood Care

  • Wipe wooden or metal parts with a soft, damp cloth, then dry immediately.
  • Avoid harsh cleaners or scouring pads that could scratch the finish.
  • Use coasters and felt pads on coffee tables or side tables to avoid transfer of stains or scratches.

Cushion Care

  • Rotate and flip cushions regularly to distribute wear evenly.
  • Gently fluff loose cushions to maintain shape and comfort.
  • Avoid standing or jumping on cushions to prevent foam breakdown.

General Tips

  • Keep furniture away from direct heat sources such as radiators or fireplaces.
  • If moving your sofa, always lift from the base — never drag across the floor.
  • For storage, keep furniture in a dry, climate-controlled space.
