Softness Guide

The Nova Full-Size Sleeper Sectional with Storage Chaise is Rated a 4: Supportive Sit

Soft

Firm

Find your Just-Right seat

At Coddle, all of our sofas are built to last—with premium materials, reinforced frames, and high-resilience foam that holds its shape for years to come. That’s why our seat cushions are intentionally crafted with a firmer feel at first. Why? Because quality foam softens gradually with use, ensuring long-term comfort and shape retention. So whether you prefer plush or structured support, you’ll get comfort that only gets better with time.

Find Your Just-Right Seat

1. Ultra Plush (Mattress Toppers Only)
This level of softness is reserved for our mattress toppers—not our sofas. It’s cloud-like, body-hugging comfort designed specifically for sleep surfaces, not everyday seating.

2. Soft with Support
Our softest sofa seat. You’ll still sink in, but with a hint of support underneath—perfect for lounging, napping, or anyone who loves that laid-back, relaxed feel.

3. Balanced Comfort
The sweet spot. Starts firm and breaks in beautifully over time—delivering that “just right” balance between supportive and soft.

4. Supportive Sit
More structure, less sink. Ideal for those who prefer more back support or use their sofa as a multitasking zone (think reading, working, or hosting).

5. Extra Firm
Our most structured seat. Offers a polished look and consistent support that’s ideal for formal spaces or those who like very little give.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size bed does this sleeper sectional convert into?

Most of our sleeper sectionals convert into either a full or queen-size bed. Each product page lists exact dimensions to ensure a perfect fit for your space.

Why are the cushions firmer than others on the market?

Our cushions are intentionally designed to start out slightly firmer than most, which is a hallmark of quality construction and high-density foam. This means they’ll hold their shape, provide better support, and soften gradually over time—so your sectional stays comfortable and durable for years to come.

Are sleeper sectionals comfortable to sleep on every night?

Yes. Our sectionals are designed with high-density foam cushions and mattress-quality support. Both our fold-down and trundle-style designs are far superior to old-fashioned sleeper sofas with sagging mattresses, metal bars, and restless nights. Many customers use them for everyday lounging and regular sleeping thanks to their supportive comfort.

Do sectionals have built-in storage?

Several of our sectional models include a storage chaise, perfect for keeping blankets, pillows, or games tucked away. Check each product page for specific storage features.

Can I choose left- or right-facing chaise?

Some sectional models allow you to choose left- or right-facing orientation, while others feature reversible chaises for maximum flexibility. Each product page specifies configuration options.

Are the fabrics durable and easy to clean?

Yes! All of our sleeper sectionals are upholstered in performance fabrics that resist stains, are pet- and family-friendly, and clean easily with a damp cloth.

How is delivery handled?

Most sleeper sectionals are delivered with FREE white glove service, which includes in-home setup and packaging removal. Delivery options are always noted at checkout.

Do sleeper sectionals require assembly?

Most of our sectionals ship with free white glove delivery, which includes setup. If shipped via UPS threshold, assembly is straightforward—usually attaching arms, legs, and chaise. All are designed to be easy to assemble and reassemble, making them just as simple to move between rooms as to set up the first time.

What kind of sleeper does the Nova Sectional include?

The Nova Sectional features a full-size trundle-style sleeper that pulls out smoothly from underneath—no heavy lifting, just an easy setup for overnight guests.

Is the chaise reversible?

Yes. The Nova Sectional includes a reversible chaise, allowing you to place it on either side to best fit your room’s layout.

Does the Nova Sectional include storage?

Absolutely. The chaise lifts up to reveal a hidden storage compartment, perfect for keeping blankets, pillows, or other essentials tucked neatly out of sight.

It was a wonderful customer service experience

"Ordering was easy, got mine on sale. There was a mistake in the delivery address, but their e-mail actually had real people respond in a very timely manner. This issue was resolved way before delivery was due. The white glove delivery was excellent. I was communicated with, again by humans and on delivery day I was kept informed as my delivery time approached. The guys who delivered it were professional and quick. I would buy from this company again."

orange sleeper

"It is functional for my space in my apartment . I love the storage it has for my blankets. The sleeper fits a full size fitted sheet for my guests. The couch is a bit heavy, I'm glad they were able to deliver and assemble the same day. I'm worried what would happen if I have to move . I live on the second floor. The storage chase is a bit challenging or heavy to close but its secure."

— Desiree f. (4/5)

Nice quality

"Im pleased with tho sleeper sofa I bought from Coddle. I love how firm it is for sitting and sleeping. Its compact silhouette as a bed sold me."

— Kathryn A. (5/5)

I LOVE IT! Been stalking this couch for months…

"PROS: - Beautiful and great quality! There aren’t many good quality options of this type of couch at this size - I love the color! - I don’t mind the “firmness” I actually have a firmer bed so this feels soft to me 😅. May get even softer as it’s used more - The storage is huuugeee in my opinion which will be nice to use - Loved the white glove service! They put the couch together well and quickly! CONS: - I wish the cord for the outlets was flat to the wall so that the couch can sit closer to the wall. Right now there is almost a 3 inch gap which is just big enough for my kitten to get behind the couch - it is a little hard to raise the storage chaise and pull up the foot rest. After reading an earlier review response from the coddle team I do hope this loosens some to make it easier. (Ps: the gallery wall is still a work in progress :))"

— Destiny (5/5)

Nicely designed, comfortable & space saving

"I was a little skeptical about the fit in my particuliar space but it fits nicely. The fit was the most important to me. I didnt care about the usb & 12v outlets. I was also happy with the color. The original color I wanted was not available so I went with the grey sand & it goes better than I assumed from seeing it in the photo's. The biggest gripe would be the price but all in all including shipping its not so bad. It is a well designed & well made product. No regrets!"

— Gary L. (4/5)

5 months later and I’m still happy

"I’ve had this sofa for a few months now and it is truly the sofa of my dreams, I wanted something we can sit and watch tv on but also lay down on comfortably and nap if we wanted to, this sofa does all that and it has storage which we use for blankets. Honestly it’s perfect, even the guys who came to assemble it for us were nice"

— Ally M. (5/5)

Comfy and stylish

"The sleeper is much nicer than others I looked at and the customer service at Coddle was great. Delivery guys brought it all to my second store guest room and set it up in just a few minutes —and I’m so happy to have it. It replaced a daybed and makes the very small room so much more functional."

— Jane D. (5/5)

Great full size sleeper sofa

"Very pleased with this sofa! Supportive seating and easy to pull out section to make a full size sleeper. Comfortable cushions that are securely zipped to the back of the sofa."

— Carlene B. (5/5)

Fits space well but so so uncomfortable

"It fits our space so well but is so HARD on the sitting surface. The fabric and look is nice. As for sitting in proper posture- it’s great. But it is really like sitting on a concrete bench. Not a cozy hangout place. Incredibly bummed."
