Sleek Leather & Modern Edge
"The caramel upholstery is soft and has a rich, even color, and the black metal frame gives it a clean, modern edge. The seat is supportive without being stiff. We bought two, and they look fantastic as a pair."

Generous cushioning and supportive spring suspension make it just as comfortable as it is good-looking—an easy place to settle in and stay awhile.
Why You'll Love It
- 100% top-grain leather: Smooth chestnut leather brings natural warmth and character, developing a richer patina over time for a look that only gets better with age.
- Supportive comfort: Foam cushions pair with zig-zag spring support for a comfortable, steady sit whether you’re reading, relaxing, or catching up with friends.
- Classic shape, modern attitude: The familiar proportions of a traditional armchair get a cleaner, more contemporary look from the slim profile and streamlined metal frame.
- Leather-wrapped arms: Slender arms wrapped in matching leather add an elevated finishing detail and make the chair look considered from every angle.
- Easy to mix in: The warm brown leather and airy frame work beautifully with everything from upholstered sofas and textured fabrics to wood, glass, and metal—making Vail an easy accent piece for an existing room.

Softness Guide
The Vail Leather Accent Chair is Rated a 2: Soft with Support

Find your Just-Right seat
At Coddle, all of our sofas are built to last—with premium materials, reinforced frames, and high-resilience foam that holds its shape for years to come. That’s why our seat cushions are intentionally crafted with a firmer feel at first. Why? Because quality foam softens gradually with use, ensuring long-term comfort and shape retention. So whether you prefer plush or structured support, you’ll get comfort that only gets better with time.
Find Your Just-Right Seat
1. Ultra Plush (Mattress Toppers Only)
This level of softness is reserved for our mattress toppers—not our sofas. It’s cloud-like, body-hugging comfort designed specifically for sleep surfaces, not everyday seating.
2. Soft with Support
Our softest sofa seat. You’ll still sink in, but with a hint of support underneath—perfect for lounging, napping, or anyone who loves that laid-back, relaxed feel.
3. Balanced Comfort
The sweet spot. Starts firm and breaks in beautifully over time—delivering that “just right” balance between supportive and soft.
4. Supportive Sit
More structure, less sink. Ideal for those who prefer more back support or use their sofa as a multitasking zone (think reading, working, or hosting).
5. Extra Firm
Our most structured seat. Offers a polished look and consistent support that’s ideal for formal spaces or those who like very little give.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Vail Accent Chair made with real leather?
Yes. Vail is upholstered in 100% top-grain leather, giving it the natural look, feel, and character of genuine leather.
How will the leather change over time?
That’s part of what makes top-grain leather special. With use, the leather will naturally develop a richer patina and subtle variations that give the chair an increasingly lived-in character.
What are the dimensions?
The chair measures 23.5” W x 31” D x 32” H, with a 23.5” wide seat. Its relatively narrow profile gives you the comfort of a substantial accent chair without requiring a lot of floor space.
How much weight can the chair hold?
The Vail Leather Accent Chair has a weight capacity of up to 300 lbs.
Is this a good accent chair for a smaller room?
Yes. At just 23.5” wide, Vail is an especially good option when you want to add comfortable seating without the bulk of an oversized lounge chair. The slim metal frame also keeps it feeling visually light.
Will the brown leather work with a fabric sofa?
Absolutely. Warm brown leather is an easy way to introduce contrast and natural texture into a room. It pairs beautifully with neutral upholstery, performance fabrics, boucle, woven textiles, and a wide range of colors, making Vail an easy accent piece to mix into an existing space.
Does the chair require assembly?
No. The Vail Leather Accent Chair arrives fully assembled and ready to use.
Can I order a leather swatch for the Vail Leather Accent Chair?
Swatches are not currently available for this item. The warm chestnut leather is designed to mix easily with a wide range of colors, textures, and upholstery fabrics, making Vail a versatile accent piece. We’ve included detailed photography to give you a closer look at the leather’s color and natural character before ordering.
How should I care for the leather?
For everyday care, wipe the chair with a clean, dry microfiber cloth and vacuum gently with an upholstery attachment. Blot spills immediately rather than rubbing them, and avoid harsh cleaning products that aren’t specifically intended for leather.
